Westfield United Fund We also provide counseling and educational support for at-risk children in our schools, and for adults who need to improve their literacy skills.

The Westfield United Fund (WUF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the Westfield, New Jersey community while supporting nonprofit partners across Union County. Through our grants, we help senior citizens live independently, provide housing for the physically and developmentally disabled, help single parents and low-income families meet their needs for childcare and after-school programs and provide counseling and shelter to domestic abuse victims.

A sofa cannot pay rent, and a kitchen table cannot cover a utility bill. Yet, for a family starting over, those donated items transform an empty house into a place of comfort, dignity, and safety.

We are proud to invest in programs like the Adult Enrichment curriculum that welcomes 157 local seniors to a space where they can stay active, healthy, and connected.

A huge thank you to Tom Nastasi of Shoreline East Construction Corp and our friends at The Salad House of Westfield! WUF was honored to be named the recipient of last month’s Salad House Fuel Fund Initiative.

Through this program, The Salad House donates to a local charity chosen by their top-spending customer of the month, matching their exact spend. When Tom earned the top spot, he generously chose the Westfield United Fund.

Thank you, Tom, for thinking of us, and thank you to The Salad House for giving back to our community. This is what being a neighbor is all about.
