To the dads of WVRS, thank you for balancing family life with your commitment to serving others. Your dedication, compassion, and willingness to volunteer make a difference every day.

We also want to recognize all the fathers, grandfathers, father figures, and mentors in our lives and throughout the Westfield community. Thank you for your guidance, support, and the many ways you help those around you.

⚽️🇺🇸 WVRS was proud to provide EMS coverage for Match Night on Quimby this past Friday as downtown Westfield came together to cheer on Team USA in their World Cup opener. Quimby Street was transformed into a community watch party, bringing neighbors, families, and soccer fans together for an unforgettable night.

The excitement was worth it as the United States defeated Paraguay 4-1 to kick off their World Cup campaign in style. We were happy to be there helping keep everyone safe while enjoying a great night of community spirit, soccer, and hometown pride. 🇺🇸⚽️

🌟 May Probie of the Month: Aahana 🌟

If there’s an extra shift to work, a training to attend, or an event to help with, chances are Aahana is there. She has quickly become a familiar face around the squad and is always willing to help, whether that’s learning something new herself or helping newer probies with their vital signs.

A huge thank you to Rumble Boxing Westfield for hosting our members for a free workout class in celebration of EMS Week! 🥊❤️

Our volunteers spend countless hours serving the community, so it was great to take some time to challenge ourselves, have fun, and spend time together outside of the ambulance. We appreciate the support and generosity shown to our squad 🙏🏽

Are you a high school or college student interested in healthcare, public service, leadership, communications, business, nonprofit management, technology, or community engagement?

The Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad is excited to launch a new internship program for the 2026-2027 academic year!

Interns will work directly with WVRS leadership on meaningful projects that support our mission and the Westfield community. Opportunities may include:

For EMS Week, we gifted our members portable chargers as a small token of appreciation for the dedication, commitment, and time they continue to give to WVRS and the residents of Westfield.

Last Tuesday, WVRS was presented with an official proclamation from the recognizing Emergency Medical Services Week. We are proud to stand alongside EMS providers across the country being recognized for the care, commitment, and teamwork that keep our communities safe every day. 🚑
