WVRS was proud to provide EMS standby coverage for the 5th Annual Tour de Westfield! It was great seeing families from across town come together for a morning of biking, fun, and community spirit.

Probie of the Month goes to Jules! 🚑⭐️

Since joining WVRS, she has continued to grow with every shift and has shown that she’s always willing to put in the work. Whether it’s asking questions, jumping into training, or looking for another opportunity to improve, she brings a strong eagerness to learn and become a better EMT.

We’re excited to see all that she continues to accomplish with WVRS! 💙

A little squad time before summer comes to a close! 🎬🍿

WVRS members got together for a movie night to celebrate a great summer semester and enjoy some time together outside of the ambulance. With some of our members heading back to school this fall, it was the perfect chance to relax, catch up, and make a few more summer memories together.

And of course, the movie of choice: My Cousin Vinny 😄

WVRS was proud to participate in Westfield’s National Night Out on August 4th 🚑💙

The evening brought families, first responders and local organizations together for a fun opportunity to connect outside of an emergency setting. Community members were able to meet the people who serve Westfield, explore emergency vehicles and learn more about the resources available throughout town.

We always enjoy spending time with our neighbors and strengthening the relationships that help keep our community safe. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to speak with our members, and to the Town of Westfield, NJ Police Department, Town of Westfield, NJ Fire Department and Westfield PAL
for organizing another great National Night Out!

Her growth and commitment to becoming the best EMT she can be have not gone unnoticed, and we’re proud to recognize all of her effort.

🚓🚑 We were excited to join the Town of Westfield, NJ Police Department for the opening day of the Westfield Youth Police Academy!

Our members had the opportunity to give the cadets a tour of one of our ambulances, demonstrate the equipment we use on calls, and explain how WVRS and the Westfield Police Department work side by side to serve our community. We hope it gave students a closer look at the teamwork behind emergency response and inspired some future first responders along the way.

A big thank you to the Westfield Police Department for inviting us to be part of this great program. Best of luck to all of this year’s Youth Police Academy students. We hope you have an amazing week, learn something new every day, and enjoy the experience! 💙❤️

Cooling & Charging Station Available

As the Town of Westfield continues to recover from last night's storm, the Community Room at Town Hall will be open as a cooling center and device charging station beginning at 10:00 a.m. today and will remain available until further notice.

The Community Room entrance is off East Broad Street, as pictured here.

To report storm-related issues:
• Downed trees: Call the Westfield Police Department at 908-789-4000
• Downed power lines or wires: Call 9-1-1 immediately
• Power outages: Contact PSE&G at 800-436-7734 or text OUT to 4PSEG (47734)

Please do not report power outages to the Westfield Police Department. Reporting outages directly to PSE&G helps restore service as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as crews continue working to restore normal operations throughout the community.
