Excited to announce that City Council unanimously approved last night the formation of the Advisory Council on Veterans' Affairs. This much needed council will support a variety of activities to include supporting veteran-focused events and ceremonies, identifying gaps in services and resources, promoting public awareness of military service, and recommending initiatives that help make Westfield a more veteran-supportive community. This Council was a priority of mine when I took office, and I look forward to seeing the impacts it will make on a very important demographic in our community that has sacrificed so much for our nation.

As a Marine, Memorial Day holds a special place in my heart. From the brave men & women who lost their lives during my time in Iraq to my grandfather who went MIA during a bombing run in WWII, today is a day to remember and honor their sacrifice for this great nation. Sure the race, cookouts, and day off work are great, but please reflect on WHY this day is what it is. These great freedoms and liberties are paramount to the American experiment, and they do not come without a cost. Thank you to our soldiers who put our country's interest above their own, and please remember them this Memorial Day.

Absolutely love the Indianapolis 500. Such an amazing American tradition. We have a lot to cheer for this year in Westfield, home to Ed Carpenter Racing. Let’s do this Team ECR!!!!

Soft opening tonight at Broad Ripple Seafood Market on Park Street. Food and atmosphere were outstanding. This is going to be an excellent addition to our Park Street corridor. Officially opens on Wednesday!
