Lawrence Lake is a 225 acre impoundment of Lawrence Creek, a class 1 Trout stream in Marquette County. The Lake District was created by the homeowners of the area in 1987 after the failure of the spillway drained the Lake. The District as of March 2011, is 268 members strong with a majority of those members being full time residents. The District's primary responsibility is the protection of the

Lake and all its precious resources. The District also represents all its members on issues involving the Lake. The District has developed a close relationship with the Lawrence Lake Sports Club, the Wisconsin DNR, and the surrounding community. Over the years the District has supported the local fire department, Marquette County EMS and area students with scholarship donations. The District would like to welcome you to the Lake! There are 2 public boat launches. One on the North side of the lake (on 3rd Road); One on the South side of the lake (Take County trunk E to 3rd Ave). Do not Power Load at the boat launches. Species of Fish include:
Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, Yellow Bullhead, Black Crappie, Lake Perch, Green Sunfish

There are nooks and crannies at the lake that can be explored with a kayak or a canoe.
