Westfield Boosters Association Over the course of our 72-year history, the Boosters have raised and donated over $1,000,000 in support of Westfield High School athletics.

The Westfield Boosters Association is a non-profit organization, the principal purpose of which is to support all the student athletes competing for Westfield High School. There’s no slowing down Jackson Chicola at this point.

Fresh off of notching his 100th career point in the McInnis Cup semifinals on Monday against West Essex-Caldwell, the senior was at it again on Wednesday.

He scored three times and added two assists to lead top-seeded Westfield, No. 9 in the NJ.com Top 20, to a 6-2 win over second-seeded and No. 11 Livingston in the 32nd McInnis Cup final at Codey Arena in West Orange.

Congratulations to our very own WHS Booster Scott Paris who was named the 2025 Golf Professional of the Year!
This award is the highest annual honor given to a PGA of America Golf Professional. Scott’s substantial history of service to the game of golf over his career is truly incredible.

A golf professional since 1994, Scott was hired by Plainfield Country Club in 1997, and has since been instrumental in the club hosting two PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoff events, and the awarding of three future USGA Championships.

Scott has also led over 20 former Assistants to becoming either
Directors of Golf or Head Professionals across the country.

Westfield high School graduate Jeff Torborg, the former catcher who caught Sandy Koufax’s perfect game and was the 1990 American League Manager of the Year with the Chicago White Sox, died Sunday. He was 83.

Jeff was a Westfield, N.J. native and All-State catcher at Westfield High went on to set a Rutgers and NCAA record with a .540 batting average during an All-America 1963 season. Torborg was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers and enjoyed a 10-year career in Major League Baseball, where he caught three no-hitters - including Sandy Koufax’s perfect game.
Following his playing career, Torborg managed for five MLB teams and coached for 10 more in the New York Yankees organization.

WESTFIELD BEATS #6 IN THE STATE! Tyshawn Pearson and Max MacEacheron each scored 10 points to help Westfield hand No. 6 in the NJ.com Top 20 Colonia its first loss of the season, 53-47, at the LeGrand Tournament in Colonia.
Colonia (3-1) trailed 19-17 at the half and the Blue Devils (3-1) opened the second half with a 20-10 run.
