The ribbon is cut, and the Read & Roam Garden is officially open!

Today, Westfield Washington Township, Westfield Washington Public Library, and the Westfield Library Foundation Inc. celebrated the opening of this beautiful new outdoor space alongside the community with the Westfield Chamber of Commerce.

Designed as a place to read, learn, play, connect, and enjoy the outdoors, the Read & Roam Garden brings even more possibilities to our shared space. We’re so excited to see this come to life and even more excited to see how our community enjoys it 💚

In uncertain times, we link arms with our community partners and neighboring Townships to assist.

That’s why we’re partnering with Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank to help collect flood relief supplies.

Hamilton County is coming together to help our neighbors affected by flooding, and we need your help!

Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank and the Hamilton County Trustee Association are partnering to collect much-needed cleaning supplies for individuals and families impacted by floodwaters throughout our community.

🧽 SUPPLIES NEEDED: Heavy-duty trash bags • Buckets • Heavy-duty sponges • Paper towels • Cleaning products • Bleach • Rubber gloves • Mops & brooms • Disposable face masks • Scrub brushes

DROP-OFF LOCATIONS:

Drop-offs begin Monday during regular business hours.

Our community is showing up in a BIG way.

We now have more than 800 volunteers ready to help with flood relief, along with incredible donations and neighbors stepping up for neighbors.

We are working directly with the American Red Cross of Indiana, Hamilton County, Indiana Hamilton County Emergency Management and City of Noblesville, Ind. to coordinate efforts and respond where help is needed most.

⏰ Monday: 8 AM–8 PM

If you've been affected by the flooding, come see us for support. If you haven't been affected and want to help, come give in whatever way you can. ❤️

STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED ⚠️

Hamilton County Commissioners have declared a State of Emergency as flooding continues to worsen. More than 30 roads are closed, the County is now under a Travel Watch, and the White River is expected to crest near 20 feet early Saturday - potentially higher with more rain in the forecast.

Please limit travel, stay away from high water, and never drive around barricades or through flooded roads.

🚒 NEWS RELEASE: We officially "broke ground" on the Station 382 remodel last week!

As construction begins, we’re celebrating not only an investment in firefighter safety and wellness, but also the collaboration that made a unique temporary housing solution possible.

Thank you to Bondry Consulting , DKGR , Bravia Services , Hagerman, Gaylor Electric, Hamilton County Commissioners and Council, Hamilton County Parks and Recreation, the Westfield Fire Department, former Trustee Danielle Carey Tolan, the City of Westfield - Government, and the many partners and team members who helped turn this vision into reality. This includes our WWT Board Members Danyele Easterhaus, Erica Strahm, and Jim Ake, as well as our WWT Building Corporation Board Members, Dino Batalis, Luke Troyer, and Sean Sullivan.

Strong communities really are built through strong partnerships, and this project is a great example of that.
