Westfield FMBA Local 30 is proud to continue supporting the Burn Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center through our ongoing aluminum can drive. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we recently made another donation to help support burn care, recovery, and patient services!

You can help us continue making a difference by dropping off your aluminum cans at the can trailer located behind Fire Headquarters. Every can helps, and every donation goes toward supporting an important cause that impacts so many lives.

Last week, Tour 4 had the pleasure of welcoming Girl Scout Troop 40735 to the firehouse to learn about fire safety and get a firsthand look at what we do every day.

Thank you to the troop for the thoughtful cards and the delicious treats from Bovella’s Pastry Shoppe. Your kindness and support truly mean a lot to our members.

We loved having you at the firehouse and hope to see you all again soon. Come back anytime!

Registration is officially LIVE for the 2026 Westfield FMBA Local 30 Annual Golf Outing!

Join us on Monday, August 10th, 2026, at Echo Lake Country Club in Westfield, NJ for our biggest event of the year.

This year’s outing has moved from October to August due to course renovations this fall, so don’t wait to secure your spot. Golfers sold out in less than two weeks last year, and we expect no difference this year.

Event Details:
Monday, August 10th, 2026
Echo Lake Country Club, Westfield, NJ
10:00 AM – Golfer Registration
10:30 AM – Brunch
12:00 PM – Shotgun Start
6:00 PM – Dinner

$250 per golfer / $1,000 per foursome
Registration is limited to 144 golfers and foursomes only.

Sponsorships are available at all levels, and the Air Cannon Contest is back after its 2024 debut. Two complimentary beverage carts will also be on the course all day.

Today, May 4th, we proudly recognize International Firefighters’ Day - a time to honor the bravery, dedication, and sacrifice of firefighters here in our community and around the world.

This day was established in 1999 following a tragic wildfire in Australia that claimed the lives of five firefighters. Since then, May 4th has become a global opportunity to recognize those who risk their lives to protect others, as well as to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The date also coincides with St. Florian’s Day, the patron saint of firefighters, symbolizing courage and commitment in the face of danger.

The Westfield Fire Department is proud to stand alongside our fellow firefighters everywhere - serving our community with honor, integrity, and dedication every day.

Please take a moment today to thank a firefighter and remember those who gave everything in service to others. 🚒🔥
