Yesterday, members of C-Shift had the opportunity to visit Westford Academy and support two students who recently completed their internship with the Westford Fire Department.

The students presented their Capstone Project, showcasing the knowledge, skills, and experiences they gained throughout their time with our department. We were proud to see the hard work, dedication, and professionalism they demonstrated during their presentation.

Programs like these provide valuable real-world experience and help inspire the next generation of public safety professionals. We thank both students for their commitment and effort during their internship and wish them continued success in their future endeavors.

Congratulations on a job well done, and thank you for representing Westford Academy and the Westford Fire Department so well! πŸš’πŸŽ“

Be advised, the Westford Police Department and Westford Fire Department will be conducting a mock accident at 12:30 p.m. today at Westford Academy. Should you see an increased police and fire presence in the area, or hear an increased amount of sirens, there is no cause for concern.

Library Building Project Update: The Library Building Project remains on budget, and a firmer future opening date now is projected for late March 2027. This falls within the 18-22 months projected for completion of the project. Weather and some unforeseen conditions have challenged this project this past winter, but buttoning up the exterior, masonry, roofing and multiple sub-contractors on site is now in the works. For the latest on the building project including an update presented to the Select Board at their 5/26/26 meeting, please visit Library Building Project. https://westfordlibrary.org/about/library-building-project-updates/
