Is your child's car seat installed correctly? Nearly half aren't — and it's not because parents aren't trying. Modern car seats and vehicles are complicated.
The Westlake Police Department offers free car seat safety checks by certified Community Service Officers (CSOs) trained as Child Passenger Safety Technicians. We'll check the install, adjust the harness, and show you how to redo it yourself next time.

Recent Major Recalls
Britax (September 2026): Recalled select B-Safe Gen 2, B-Safe 35, and Endeavours infant seats because a handle screw can loosen, creating a fall risk. Stop using the carry handle until repaired
Graco (April 2026): Recalled select SnugRide Turn & Slide models due to a base structural issue. Stop using the seat with the base, but the carrier can still be used safely without it while waiting for a free replacement.
