Loved spending time with such a wonderful group of families today!

There’s nothing quite like connecting with other parents—sharing stories about our kids, watching them see the world with fresh eyes, and reminding ourselves to let them (and us!) just be kids.

We also dove into some great conversations about navigating AI and technology at home. It’s a whole new landscape, but it feels so much easier to figure out when you’re in good company. Grateful for this community and the open, thoughtful conversations!

Let’s celebrate our amazing school community together! Pack up the kids, grab a blanket, and join us for an afternoon full of food, fun, and warm connections.

📅 When: Friday, September 18 | 3:15 PM – 6:00 PM
📍 Where: Oakhurst Park/ known as Traktor Park (9311 Lark Bunting Dr)

What to look forward to:
Easy $1–$2 Dinner: Delicious cheese and pepperoni pizza ($1), hot dogs ($2), drinks ($1), and chips ($0.50)!

Sweet Treats That Give Back:
20% of all Kona Ice purchases AND a portion of food sales go right back to support our school!

Spirit Gear & Connections:
Pick up Spirit Gear, explore club booths, and catch up with our wonderful staff.

Toss your camping chairs, picnic blankets, soccer balls, frisbees, and lawn games in the car—there’s plenty of room to play and relax! Keep an eye out for our friendly volunteers throughout the park if you need anything.

Join us for our First PTO Meeting of the School Year TOMORROW to connect with other parents, hear about upcoming community events, and support WWA.

📌 Meeting Details:
Date: Tuesday, August 25th
Time: 6:30 PM in the Library
Childcare: Free childcare provided for kids ages 3+

We're Hiring! PTO Executive Team Openings ⭐
We are looking for dedicated parent volunteers to step into two open roles on our Executive Committee:
1. Co-Treasurer
Handle organization receipts, deposits, and budget disbursements.
Collect annual membership dues and certify the Voting Members list.
Present financial updates at general membership meetings.
Assist with closing out the fiscal year (audits and tax filing due Nov 15th).
2. Co-Webmaster
Manage and update the official PTO website (wwapto.org).
Help compose and send email updates to parents.
