Today, on Women's Veterans Recognition Day, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of the women who have worn our nation's uniform.

From the battlefields to the home front, from times of war to times of peace, women veterans have answered the call to serve with strength, resilience, and honor. Their service has shaped our military, strengthened our communities, and inspired future generations.

DETAILS:
Brent Kast Memorial Hike, June 6th 0800
Meet at the parking lot, off the Las Virgines Road entrance
It is an easy trail with minimal elevation changes.
About a 4.75 to 5 mile, round trip hike (walk)
Walk at your own pace

The LA area Marine Corps League Detachments are coming together to honor a fallen Marine and fellow Leaguer who tragically passed away in 2023. Just like in years past, we will be hiking to the site of the M.A.S.H film location in Malibu Creek State Park. We honor Brent as a loud and engaging soul who brought people together. You are encouraged to wear colorful attire as he loved his bright Hawaiian shirts. You don't need to be a MCL Member, all are welcome to come for fitness and community with fellow veterans. Please consider a donation for refreshments following hike if you stay.

They may charge for parking at about $12.00 per vehicle. From what I understand, you may park for free if you present them with a valid Veteran's ID Card through Calvet Military Pass Program.

Our Jr Past Commandant and Marine Corps League, Department of California Regional Coordinator (Aide de camp) for Region 9, Jason Parks was presented with The Southwest Division Marine of the Year medal and Distinguished Citizen Medal
Marine Corps League - MCAS El Toro Detachment 017 picked up the Division steamer and was represented with 4 delegates
