A new school year brings a fresh start, but today we’re celebrating how far our students have already come!

The latest state scores are out, and the results show major progress across Westminster Public Schools. From daily growth in the classroom to preparing our graduates for college, trades, and careers, our schools are moving in the right direction.

🚌🦖 Level 2 has an important FIELD TRIP reminder! 🔬✨

Our Level 2 students are here to remind everyone that our ALL-SCHOOL FIELD TRIP to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science is coming up on September 11th! 🎉 We are so excited for our entire Sunset Ridge community to learn, explore, and make some amazing memories together! 💙

🚨 BUT WAIT… don’t forget your permission slip!

To be able to join us, students MUST turn in their permission slip by September 4th!

🎶🎺 Music is coming to Sunset Ridge! 🎷🥁

A HUGE thank you to Bringing Music to Life for generously donating 10 instruments to Sunset Ridge PK-8! 💙 These instruments will give our 5th graders an amazing opportunity to participate in Band this school year!

🎵 Band meets Wednesdays from 4:00–5:00 PM after school.

Have a 5th grader interested in making some music? 🎼 Have them stop by and see Mrs. Corso for more information!

We can’t wait to hear our students make some noise! 🎶👏

🧠💛 Friendship + Feelings + Learning = First Grade Fun! 💛🧠

Our first graders came together this week to learn all about friendship, emotions, and some new vocabulary! 📚✨ Through teamwork, conversations, and learning together, they grew their brains AND made some special core memories along the way! 🥰

We love seeing our little Wolves learning that school is about so much more than academics—it’s also about connecting, growing, and being a great friend! 🐺💙🧡

🎉🐺 Welcome Back to PE, Mr. Sibayan! 🏀🏃

We’re excited to share that Mr. Sibayan is returning to the gym as our PE teacher this year! After serving our Sunset Ridge community as Dean of Students last year, he’s trading the office for sneakers and whistles and getting back to helping our Wolves stay active, healthy, and strong! 💪

We are so happy to have Mr. Sibayan continue to be an important part of our Sunset Ridge family—just in a familiar role this year!

👓💙 Eye Love Care is Coming to Sunset Ridge! 💙👓

Families, we encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity from Eye Love Care! Comprehensive eye exams and glasses will be available to students right here at school on September 3rd, 4th & 8th.

📚 Kindergarten–5th Grade: Students brought home paper registration packets this week. Families may complete the paper packet or register electronically.

💻 6th–8th Grade: Families are encouraged to complete the registration form electronically. If you prefer a paper packet, copies are available in the front office.

Medicaid and insurance are accepted, and financial assistance is available for uninsured or under-insured students.

Help us make sure our students can see clearly and learn their best! ❤️👓

Sunset Ridge elementary students are gaining serious momentum! On Spring CMAS state assessments, student growth rose 7 points in ELA and 11 points in mathematics.

Congratulations to our students, staff, and families—your hard work is driving real progress!
