The Reagan Club of Colorado Honoring Ronald Reagan On January 20, 1981, Ronald Reagan took office.

Dealing skillfully with Congress, Reagan obtained legislation to stimulate economic growth, curb inflation, increase employment, and strengthen national defense. He embarked upon a course of cutting taxes and Government expenditures, refusing to deviate from it when the strengthening of defense forces led to a large deficit.

Former President Bill Clinton says that if his party doesn't do something to deal with the communist takeover, he's calling it quits.

"We spent 40 years building the party to be the voice of the people," said Clinton. "I will not go to the polls and vote to turn my beloved country into Soviet Russia."

Clinton is part of a growing coalition of Democrats ringing the warning bell that Stalin is at the door.
