Since the departments 200th birthday, some of our members have been working hard to bring the towns antique fire engine back to life. This 1930 Seagrave Suburbanite is original to the town of Westminster and has been in storage since the mid-late 2000’s. So far we have found that it still runs and drives but there are still plenty of things to refurbish before it’s ready for the streets again. We will be sure to post more as we continue working!

🚧IMPORTANT TRAFFIC ALERT🚧

**Worcester Road**

Due to extremely poor road conditions caused by excessive rain today, Rt 140/Worcester Road will be CLOSED to all traffic starting at 7PM tonight until further notice between Worcester Road at Patricia Road and Worcester Road at Mile Hill Road.

Closure & Detour Details:

• Northbound traffic will be detoured at Rt 31 at Rt 140 in Princeton.

• Hard closures will be in place at:

• Worcester Road at Mile Hill Road
• Hagar Park Road at Narrows Road

Detour Route:

Drivers will be rerouted via Narrows Road → East Road → Gatehouse Road to bypass the closure.

For the residents in the affected area please use extreme caution.

Please plan ahead, follow posted detour signs, and drive safely.

Congratulations to our very own Kelly Provencial for graduating from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Recruit Training Program. This is an intensive 10 week program from Massachusetts Department of Fire Services that teaches the fundamental skills of firefighting. Kelly will be back on shift, assigned to group 2 starting next week. Well done Kelly!

This year we are partnering with Entry Note Promotion for the Westminster Firefighters Local 4911 support t-shirt. 100% of profit from the sale of shirts will be donated to the New England Center for Children which funds research, teacher training and technology to make a difference in the lives of children with Autism.
