Throw back Thursday!

On August 29th, 2026, WPD Officers responded to 7200 Plaza St, Westminster for a shooting which had just occurred. Evidence was collected and the case was handed over to detectives for follow up. WPD Detectives tirelessly looked into the case and were able to identify a vehicle used in the shooting and a suspect.

On September 18th, 2026, WPD Gang Detectives conducted a stop on the vehicle in question which was occupied by the suspect and an unrelated party. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. A search incident to arrest was conducted and a fi***rm believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered. The suspect was booked into Orange County Jail on multiple felony counts including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and multiple felony fi***rm related charges.

Another instance of WPD working hard to keep the city safe.
