Fire Academy Graduation

Tonight, members of the Westmont Fire Company attended the Camden County Fire Academy Graduation in support of Firefighter Steve Colis, who completed Firefighter 1 and 2 at the academy after 6 hard months.

Congratulations Steve, we’re excited for you and can’t wait to see what your time as a firefighter has in store.

Tonight the Westmont Fire Company is following suit with their neighboring fire departments and showing their support for young Xavier Taylor and his entire family by adding some blue to the front of the firehouse.

NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE -

The Westmont Fire Company advises that Haddon Avenue will be closed between Cuthbert Boulevard and Crystal Lake Avenue today from approximately 3:15 PM to 7:00 PM for the Stringband Parade. Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes and anticipate traffic delays in the area.
Westmont Firefighters will be staffing apparatus and stationed at Collingwood and Haddonfield firehouses to ensure uninterrupted coverage, prioritizing your safety above all.

05/19 - Engine 15 and Chief 15 operated at this all hands fire on Woodlawn Ave in Merchantville. The crew assisted with vertical ventilation and overhaul.

On Monday, May 25th at 10:00am the Westmont Fire Company will again host the annual Haddon Township Memorial Day service at the Firehouse located at 120 Haddon Avenue. Weather permitting, we will once again be outdoors on West Walnut Avenue in front of the war monuments. All are invited to attend.

We were proud to host Mount Laurel Animal Hospital at our weekly drill night, where their team shared invaluable knowledge on assisting animals in emergency situations. From treating burn injuries and managing smoke inhalation to performing animal CPR, the hands on training helped strengthen our ability to respond when pets are in need.

They also generously provided an additional oxygen kit designed to support pets of all sizes, further enhancing our readiness in the field. We appreciate their time, expertise, and commitment to helping us better protect every member of our community, furry ones included
