🔥 International Firefighters’ Day – May 4 🔥

Today, we recognize the men and women who answer the call—day or night, in any conditions—to protect their communities.

At Weston Fire Department, this day holds deep meaning. It’s a time to:

🔴 Honor the past — those who came before us and those who made the ultimate sacrifice
🔵 Recognize the present — the firefighters standing ready today, committed to service
🔴 Inspire the future — the next generation who will carry the tradition forward

Firefighting isn’t just a job—it’s a calling. It’s early mornings, long nights, missed holidays, and running toward what others run from. It’s teamwork, trust, and a commitment to something bigger than yourself.

To our members, past and present—thank you for your dedication, your sacrifice, and your pride in serving Weston and beyond.

And to firefighters everywhere—we stand with you today.

🚑🔥 Life Saved Through Teamwork & Dedication 🔥🚑

The Weston Fire Department is proud to recognize Fire Chief Chuck Schneider, Firefighter/EMS Director Brent Dalley, Firefighter Jackson Taylor, and Firefighter Anthony Snyder for receiving the Live Saver Award from Baylor Scott & White Medical Center McKinney.

These members, alongside our partners at the Celina Fire Department, played a critical role in saving the life of a patient who was pulseless and not breathing. Through rapid response, seamless teamwork, and high-quality patient care, they were able to restore a pulse and give that individual a second chance at life.

This recognition highlights the dedication, training, and commitment our firefighters bring every single day—not just to the Town of Weston, but to the surrounding communities we proudly serve.

We also want to extend our congratulations to the Celina Fire Department for their outstanding work and continued partnership in serving our region.

Please join us in congratulating these members for their outstanding lifesaving efforts and continued service to our community.

The Weston Fire Department would like to recognize and congratulate the Celina High School Girls Varsity Soccer Team on an incredible achievement—advancing to the UIL State Championship for the 5th consecutive year.

This level of consistency, discipline, and excellence doesn’t happen by accident. It reflects the hard work of the athletes, the leadership of the coaching staff, and the unwavering support from the Celina community.

We are proud to serve and protect a portion of Celina ISD, and it’s moments like this that remind us what a special community we are a part of.

Good luck at State—your entire community is behind you.

🚨 Department Announcement – New Equipment 🚨

Weston Fire Department is proud to announce that after months of research, we have officially ordered left-handed fire hoses for our firefighters who struggle with traditional hose lines.

These hoses are specifically designed to:
• Flow water in the opposite direction
• Reduce hose kinks by 37%
• Increase nozzle accuracy for left-handed firefighters
• Meet NFPA 0.5 standards

Training on the new hose deployment method (called “reverse lay operations”) will begin next week.

Please make sure to sign up for the mandatory 6-hour training titled:
“Advanced Left-Handed Hydraulics & Water Direction Control.”

We appreciate your support as we continue to bring cutting-edge technology to Weston.

🔥🚫 No Outdoor Burning Today 🚫🔥

Hey Weston neighbors — due to sustained winds of 20–30 mph this afternoon, outdoor burning is not allowed today under Texas state law. These windy conditions make it very easy for fires to spread quickly and put homes, land, and lives at risk.

We appreciate everyone helping us keep Weston safe by holding off on burning until conditions improve. 👍

If you see smoke or an unattended fire, please call 911 right away.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.
