🚧STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECTS🚧

1) Bloedel Ave:

• Week of 9/7: This past week all water and sewer laterals were installed. The contractor will be finishing up storm sewer between Cherry St and Alderson St the week of 9/7. Grading of the road will follow after that.

2) Bayberry St and Concord Ave:

• Week of 9/7: Please note this route is now a one-way street from Camp Phillips Rd/CR-X heading west to Bayberry and then south on Bayberry to Ross Ave. Road building work on Bayberry and Concord will continue on the west end of the project and storm sewer installation will continue on the east end of the project.

🚧STREET MAINTENANCE PROJECTS🚧

Asphalt Overlays:

• Week of 9/7: RC Pavers will be paving the overlays this coming week. They started the streets around Kellyland Park (Rogan, Thomas, Tanya, etc.) and will finish those before moving to the other areas. If weather cooperates, they should complete the overlays the week of 9/7.

Streets being paved include:

Dawn St, Dusk St and Solar Ave
Willard Ln, Kostuck Ln and Ski Ln
Tricia Ave, Tanya St, Rogan Ln, Heather St and Thomas Ave (east of Tanya) – (water and sewer area)
Hewitt Ave (water and sewer area)
Connie Ln (Mary Ln to Dominika St) and Mary Ln (Dominika St to Connie Ln) – (water and sewer area)

GSB-88 Pavement Sealing:

• Week of 9/7: The GSB-88 pavement sealing has been completed. Line painting will be completed in mid-September as the sealant needs time to cure into the pavement prior to putting pavement markings back on it.

Streets to be painted include:

Shorey Ave (Alderson St to Birch St)
Birch St (Shorey Ave to Cross Pointe Blvd)
Community Center Drive
Barbican Ave
Westview Blvd
Stone Ridge Drive (North of Weston Ave)

Sandy Ln and Ross Ave Chip Sealing:

• Week of 9/7: Pavement work is complete, similar to the GSB-88, pavement marking will be completed in mid-September.

🚧Bayberry Street and Concord Avenue – Traffic Update🚧

As a reminder, the one-way traffic pattern along Concord Ave and Bayberry St has resumed between Ross Ave and Birch St; however, it is reversed and requires traffic to travel to the intersection of Camp Phillips Road and Concord Ave to access the businesses along this stretch of Concord Avenue and Bayberry Street. Access at the intersection of Ross Avenue and Bayberry Street is an exit only. Local truck traffic will also be temporarily allowed to travel along Birch Street between Ross Ave and Concord Ave during the project.

The Village of Weston understands that there is a lot of construction taking place in Weston, our neighboring communities, and on the State's state highways in our area. We understand that this has created a lot of headaches and delays to everyone living in Marathon County. If I may, please understand that this inconvenience is only for a couple more months this year and the Contractors are doing their best to get the work done as quickly as possible. All these Contractors are doing their best to help our communities with each of these important capital improvement projects. This includes all the businesses that operate 5-7 days a week along this particular corridor in the Village of Weston. Please do your best to show some compassion to the folks working on the crews by doing our part in helping the project progress forward. Any disruption to traffic flow will delay the Contractor and slow them down from completing the project as soon as possible, which is what we all want in the end.

If travelling to this area of the Village, please be prepared and plan accordingly as construction will be progressing on a daily basis along Bayberry St, Concord Ave, and Birch St so the work zones will be moving regularly. Below is an image of how traffic will flow for the next several weeks.
