All School Reunion in 2000

On May 20, 2000, 1400 people attended the reunion. Held in the Pepper-Kisker Warehouse from 9am to 1am, the event brought Weston alumni from all parts of the U.S. Anyone who ever attended classes in the Weston school district was invited to attend.

History leaves a footprint. Come see where it walked.
The Black Ancestors Awareness Campaign (BAAC) and Backdoor Coffee welcome the public to The Lincoln Effect: The Legacy of Abraham Lincoln. Our 2026 Summer theme explores how the legacy of Abraham Lincoln—especially his role in emancipation and subsequent assassination- inspired the names of institutions and laws long after his death.

The answer to last week's Who What When Where - -

This is B.J. Bless Jr.
He was the editor and publisher of The Weston Chronicle as well as the elected President of the Northwest Missouri Press Association after an annual two-day meeting of the members. He had served as the Vice President the year prior to being elected President.

At that time, The Weston Chronicle was one of Missouri's oldest established papers and had been in the Bless family for 39 years.

The Kansas City Star published an editorial that year that stated, "The best way the small town may hold its trade, with this new competition, is to have a good local newspaper."
