There is one more day for Lewis County 4-H members to receive their $40 discount from the 4-H Leaders Association for their camp registration. If you are planning to attend 4-H camp and haven't registered you only have a few days left. To receive the $40 discount you must be registered by 11:59 p.m. on June 1.

Energy Express acceptance letters were mailed out this week and should be arriving in your mailboxes within the coming days. Please be aware our site is full and we now have a waiting list, if your plans have changed please contact the Extension Office. Please do NOT call the bus garage asking about the bus route. Our Energy Express team starts next week and we are looking forward to an amazing summer! 📖

We are preparing for Lewis County 4-H Camp! Lewis County 4-Hers and friends will be making their way to WVU Jackson's Mill in just 32 days and we are so excited! Our campers and staff will be participating in a week-long service project and our project this year is the Lewis County Backpack Buddy program. Help our campers pack 1000 bags for Lewis County students, you can support our effort by helping us clear our amazon list which can be found below. There’s still time to register for state camps! We have scholarships available for first time week long state campers and for middle school students. If you are interested in attending and need help getting there, reach out to Megan. We want to see a bunch of Lewis County 4-Hers at OMC, Alpha II, and Alpha I this summer!

There’s also a $200 discount for OMC available for the first 150 campers!

During the month of May, we are going to honor the accomplishments of our graduating college and high school seniors! Please join us in congratulating our 4-Hers on their momentous achievements and wishing them the best as they continue, "To Make the Best Better."

Congratulations to Lewis County 4-Her, Layla McCormick on her upcoming graduation from Lewis County High School! Layla plans to attend West Virginia University and major in Nursing.

Gracie is the daughter of William and Teresa McCormick. She has received the following awards: Honor Roll 2022-2026, Academic Letter 2022-2026, Secretary of Smith Run Flying Eagles 2024-2025, Treasurer of Smith Run Flying Eagles 2025-2026, and Citizenship Pin. Layla has been in 4-H for 10 years and is a member of the Smith Run Flying Eagles 4-H Club.

We are very proud of Layla and cannot wait to see what her future holds!🍀

Congratulations to Lewis County 4-Her, Adaleigh Curry on her upcoming graduation from Lewis County High School! Adaleigh plans to attend Pierpont Technical College and will study physical therapy.

Adaleigh is the daughter of Chris and Nikki Curry. She has received the following awards: student of the month. She is a member of the National Honor Society. She is a 4 year varsity letterman for basketball and softball. She was selected for the 2nd Team all conference team in basketball this year and was selected for the 1st team all conference team in softball her Junior year. She earned Overall Grand Champion Master Showman at the 2025 Jamboree at the Mill. She earned the Health -H- at 4h camp as well as the spirit of camp award. Addie is also a member of Pleasant Hill Church in Kincheloe. Adaleigh has been in 4-H for 10 years and is a member of the Young Riders 4-H Club.

We are very proud of Addie and cannot wait to see what her future holds!🍀
