This is the stone of 13 year old Juanita Taylor . Years ago I was lucky enough to catch these pink flowers in bloom within the confines of her bed like grave Does anyone know anything about this young lady ? It was established she had ties to the Taylor and Umphress families of Van alstyne . I've found no obituary or death certificate. She is buried here at Chambersville. Does anyone have any further information?

A little bit of interesting funeral history
Funeral history goes along with Cemetery history because they go hand in hand you can't have the burial without Cemetery.
1840s fisk casket was unique and unusual for its time .
Patented in 1848 by Almond Dunbar Fisk, the Fisk Metallic Burial Case is an iconic 1840s cast-iron casket. Designed to look like an Egyptian sarcophagus, it featured an airtight seal and a glass viewing pane. It was heavily used to slow decomposition and transport bodies
