Today, members of Group 1 responded to a report of a dumpster fire close to a residence. Upon arrival, a 20ft dumpster that was approximately 5ft from the house had smoke showing. Engine 4 immediately got to work on extinguishing the dumpster that was about 1/4 of the way full of discarded materials. Outstanding work by Group 1!

Today, members of Group 4 responded to the Massachusetts Turnpike westbound for a tractor trailer that rolled over. The operator of the truck did not suffer any injuries and the truck was towed away safely. See the last slide for the video of the truck being put right side up. Great work Group 4 and the Massachusetts State Police! 🚒🤝🏼🚓

Today, members of our Department attended the funeral for Boston Firefighter Robert Kilduff Jr., who lost his life at a 3-alarm fire on May 23. The Weston Fire Department is sending thoughts and prayers to our brothers and sisters within the Boston Fire Department, and the family and friends of Firefighter Kilduff. May he rest in eternal peace.

Yesterday, Lt. Conlon and FF McGowan attended the Weston Council on Aging (COA) Resource Fair. They offered blood pressure checks, information on completing a File of Life, and information on lock box installations at people's residences.

Today, members of Group 1 responded alongside the Weston Police Department to rescue 12 ducklings from a storm drain. This crew really had their ducks in a row on this call.

Today our High School interns got to visit Boston MedFlight and sit in on a presentation about Fire Dept EMS and MedFlight interface and Landing Zone Safety. They then got to tour their state of the art facility at Hanscom Field, including an up close and personal tour of one of their 7 helicopters!

Today, on Memorial Day, the Weston Fire Department remembers and honors those service members who made the ultimate sacrifice. We are forever indebted to them, who gave their lives for our freedom.

Group 4 attended the Town of Weston's Memorial Day ceremony in our dress uniform. Thank you to all who attended.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Boston Fire Department and the family and friends of Firefighter Robert Kilduff who died last night fighting a 3 alarm fire in Dorchester. May he rest in eternal peace.
