These can include grist-milling, rope making, candle dipping, blacksmithing, period toys and games, and other heritage arts that were a part of frontier life. These activities are set against a historic backdrop that features the Old Mill – the only original structure remaining from the period when the Jackson family lived here – as well as other historic and replica 18th and 19th century buildings from around the area, which were moved and reconstructed at our site. You can choose to spend your entire experience in the Historic Area or you can mix-and-match with our Outdoor Education and Recreation or STEAM Education programs.
