The weather service has issued a “red flag warning.” This happens when weather conditions in an area are ripe for the spread of wildfires due to a combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels.

“Any fires that develop will likely spread quickly,” the weather service said. “Outdoor burning is not recommended.”

Please do not burn anything until further notice.

Tornado Siren Testing- Monday, April 11, 2022

Clinton County is scheduled to test the tornado sirens on Monday, April 11, 2022, starting at 10:00 a.m. You may hear several siren activations during the testing phase.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but this testing is necessary as we continue to transition the outdoor warning sirens to the new radio system.

**TORNADO SIREN TESTING- Monday, March 21, 2022,**

Clinton County officially joined the Michigan State Public Safety Communications System (MPSCS) on March 9, 2022, and as part of this project, we updated the tornado siren activation system.

We will once again test the sirens on Monday, March 21, 2022, starting at approximately 10:00 a.m., and throughout the day as we validate that each siren is working properly.

We apologize for the inconvenience but we must do this testing to ensure we can notify residents during an actual tornado warning.

Due to the Monday testing, Clinton County will not participate in the annual Statewide tornado siren testing scheduled on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
