Here is a special event to attend to seize on the excitement of the spectacular Democratic National Convention! Attend the Women’s Equality Day event tomorrow, Monday August 26th, at Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant St. in Brunswick from 5:30-7:30.

Let’s capitalize on seize on the energy and momentum from the Convention, and gather together in celebration but also to discuss what we must do to elect a woman president and to elect Democrats down the ticket who will protect and expand women’s rights. It will be a fun night of history, and of advocacy and discussion. We will first watch a film about the women whose work resulted in the right to vote, and then we will be joined by some special guests to help us on discussing what women must do now to maintain and increase women’s rights

This is a public event, so bring family, and especially your kids, to learn some history and maybe inspire them to help you with your advocacy and be champions for women’s rights.

Please attend our caucus tomorrow, Sunday February 4th from noon to two at the ”old” Town Hall. Fun activities, tasty food, we will hear from our local elected representatives, and do a little business. Art supplies to make posters. And, you can get a photo opportunity with these two!

Time kick off election month and help elect democrats up and down the ticket!

Westport Island Democrats, it's time for our caucus. Sunday, February 4th at noon at the "old" Town Hall.

Let’s come together and get organized for this year’s campaigns!

Check-in starts at noon, and we will have coffee and treats available, and at 12:30 we will hear from Representative Holly Stover and Senator Cameron Reny, who are each running for re-election.

Our official caucusing will begin at 1 p.m., where we will nominate and elect our Westport Island delegates to the Maine State Democratic Party convention this summer, elect leaders for our local committee, and gather in fun and community!

After our caucus is adjourned, let’s discuss our shared values and ideas for how we can help Democrats win this year!

Join the Westport Dems for “Canvas and Chowdah” on Sunday October 30.

Meet at the Westport Town Office parking lot at 3:45, where you will get training and a list of residents to visit to talk about our great Democratic candidates. Then warm up with what Down East magazine has called Governor Janet Mills’s favorite clam chowder recipe. Or just come for the chowder at 6pm.
