And official kick off of our America 250 exhibits at the Westport Aquarium July 4th 11:30 to 3:30. Exhibits will continue to be displayed through December 2026.

As long as we can get the rollers in time both printing presses will be up and running on the night of July 3rd 6-8pm for visitors at the Westport Aquarium to make your own prints. (While supplies last.)

The voters in the community have spoken!!! Our shark exhibit won by one vote!!! I can think back not too long ago when any of our seal exhibits, photos.. even the tank history itself would have won. But folks are starting to realize how sweet these kitty cats of the sea are!! And we must get the word out! Sharks play a vital role in our ecosystem!!!

We are looking forward to seeing you all this summer!!! Also don't forget the library summer reading program!!! We will have free passes to the aquarium for our local summer readers (while supplies last) I will be taking them to the Westport Library this week..so read lots of bedtime stories!!! You are never too old!! Read to your spouse, friends, your grandma, and your teenagers! College grads set a good example!- ok! 😉😎 Last summer my teenage son and I read about an amazing journey to Antarctica about 100 years ago....books are the best!!!

We are officially starting our underwater photography ROV program on Thursday May 7 2026 from 3-6 pm. All ages welcome. This is a special America 250 art and history version this year. We will start building ROVs and filming at the Westport Aquarium for the first 2 Thursdays and the following 2 Thursdays we will be traveling by car along the Chehalis River to different parks to do filming. Different schools end their day at different times so our goal is to start the program days when students get out of school or people are able to get off work... So the time is not set in stone. We can be flexible with the start time and frequently have too much fun to end promptly at 6 too, but will strive for that end time. If interested send us an email message at [email protected] to sign up or for more information or come by the aquarium this weekend if you are close by and ask questions or sign up. This is a free program. We can accommodate up to about 20 people.
