The Westville Police Department would like to congratulate Sergeant Brian Ewe on his retirement after serving 25 years with the Borough of Westville.
Sergeant Brian Ewe began his law enforcement career with the Westville Police Department in 2001 as a patrolman. During his tenure, he served as a member of the Gloucester County SWAT Team from 2004 to 2009.
In 2009, while still a patrolman, Sgt. Ewe became the first K-9 officer in the history of the department. From 2009 to 2017, he and his K-9 partner, Remi, conducted numerous investigations and were responsible for multiple criminal apprehensions throughout their time together.
In 2017, Sgt. Ewe was assigned to the position of Detective and simultaneously served on the Gloucester County Narcotics Task Force from 2017 to 2019. In 2019, he was promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant, a role in which he served for the remainder of his career.
Throughout his service, Sgt. Ewe was also a dedicated fi****ms instructor, consistently sharing training resources and mentoring fellow officers to ensure they approached every call with tactical awareness and professionalism. He also earned several distinguished service awards throughout his career.
For 25 years, Sgt. Ewe faithfully served the residents of Westville with pride, integrity, and unwavering dedication.
