NJ was established by Jack Kelsch, along with family members, in 1980, as a private social service agency that focuses on providing excellent person-centered, life-skill services. From an early age, Jack had personal experiences with several relatives who had Developmental Disabilities and wanted to provide innovative care in a world that had previously been dominated by institutional care. He pio
neered a family-like setting, where clients and staff interacted in a loving, kind manner; this model continues today. NJ follows the regulations set forth by NJ's Department of Human Services Office of Licensing to ensure the health and safety of all individuals.
