Wow, I'm thrilled to celebrate 25 incredible years today serving the City of Westwego. I'm part of the drop program and can't believe it's almost a year I am in the drop. I've had the privilege of growing from Supervisor of Transportation to the Director of the Westwego Earnest J. Tassin Senior Center. I'm passionate about making a difference in the lives of our Seniors. Happy 25 years work Anniversary to me.

The senior citizens' May birthday celebration was a resounding success, thanks to Chief Dwayne, Poncho, Munch, and the culinary committee for their exceptional culinary efforts. In attendance were Councilman Johnny Nobles, Councilwoman Lisa Valence, and Councilman Bobby Bonvillian, while the Mayor, Councilman Johnny Schaddinger, and Councilman Robert Utley were unable to attend. We extend our gratitude to God's House, Sara Galliano, and Matranas for their generous donation of tomatoes, which were well-received by the seniors and distributed by us at the party. The Westwego Senior Center extends its gratitude to Sara Galliano II, God's House, and Matrana Produce for generously donating cases of cherries. The Seniors really loved them. Thank you, City workers Russell, Austin, BB and Robert for helping out.

We extend our gratitude to the United States Post Office (Westwego) and Second Harvest Food Bank for conducting a food drive. Our sincere appreciation also goes to God's House and Sara Galliano II for their contributions, as every bit counts. Unfortunately, many seniors are often forced to make difficult choices between essential expenses such as utilities, medication, and food, particularly in light of the increasing cost of living.
