With the election day coming up I want to strongly say....Please do not let one of the political parties bully you into voting for someone that you do not believe in! The only wasted vote is one cast for a candidate that you do not truly believe can make a change.

On a side note, I want to thank everyone who voted for me four years ago and helped me become the boyd county Magistrate. It was a fight to be recognized by past clerks and its been fun trying to explain what happened to the current team. It really put a light on how bad things used to be. I didn't run for re election this year. I wanted spend every second possible being a good father and husband. However, maybe next election cycle I'll be back on the ballot.

City of Ashland residents will be observing Trick Or Treat October 28th from 6-7:30pm.

City of Catlettsburg residents will be observing Trick Or Treat October 28th from 6-8pm.

Deadlines
Registration for the light trail will close on Wednesday, November 25th and all homes and businesses must be fully decorated by Tuesday, December 1st at 6:00 pm.

Light Trail Details
Each participating establishment must be located within Boyd County, Kentucky. We are requesting each participant to light your home or business every night between the hours of 6:00 - 9:00 pm from December 1st through at least December 26th, 2020. To make it official, you will receive a BOCO Light Trail yard sign to identify your stop. You are not required to follow a specific theme, so be as creative as possible! Our only advice is to make you decor as visible as possible from the road as it will be judged from a car.

Speaking of judges, yes this is a contest! Our light trail committee will drive by your home or business on December 21st during the designated light trail hours. Winners will receive a yard sign to declare their victory for the remainder of the light trail dates. The prizes and categories are listed below!
