I’ve always advocated for the citizens of Coosada and supported projects that benefit western Elmore County. While some parts of this article do not tell the full story, my hope is that this lawsuit is resolved soon so we can move forward, rebuild relationships, and work together for the people we serve.

At the end of the day, the citizens deserve solutions, not continued conflict.

A multi-town $7 million sewer project to support Elmore County's growing population is delayed by Coosada's legal action demanding franchise fees, complicating progress even as funds must be spent by 2026.

A moderate to high risk of flash flooding is in effect Thursday and Friday, with the highest threat across the southern portions of Central Alabama. Flash flooding will be likely with rainfall amounts of 2-5" and locally higher amounts of 6" or more. Never cross flooded roads.
