Wonderful news for our County!

BIG NEWS FOR RURAL HEALTHCARE 📣

Ivy Creek Healthcare has been awarded two grants totaling more than $2.19 million through the Alabama Rural Health Transformation Program.

Here’s what it means for Elmore and Tallapoosa counties:

✅ Strengthening diagnostic imaging
✅ Establishing emergency telepsychiatry and telemedicine services, including real-time access to cardiology, neurology, and behavioral health specialists
✅ Creating an in-house microbiology laboratory
✅ Supporting non-emergency medical transportation
✅ Upgrading electronic health record and cybersecurity systems
✅ Improving care coordination and protecting patient information

More services. Stronger technology. Greater access to quality healthcare, closer to home.

Building the health care workforce starts with creating opportunities close to home.

Central Alabama Community College is offering a fall Emergency Medical Technician program at its Prattville Campus, giving residents an opportunity to gain hands-on training and prepare for a career serving their communities.

With experienced instructors, clinical and field experience, and a distance learning option, the program is another pathway for those looking to build valuable skills while helping meet the growing need for emergency medical professionals across the River Region.

Applications are due Aug. 25, with classes beginning Sept. 8.
