ELMORE COUNTY 4-H FUNDRAISER ALERT!

Get ready for a fun night with Sunshine and Pixie Dust!
Registration information listed below on flyer!

We need YOUR help spreading the word because we want a PACKED HOUSE for this special 4-H fundraiser!

All proceeds that we receive from this event will help send Elmore County 4-H youth to Summer Camp at the Alabama 4-H Center this summer! The cost of camp is $175 per youth, and we are hoping to raise enough money to provide 12 camp scholarships/spots for our youth.

I would love nothing more than to help as many of our 4-H'ers experience summer camp as possible! Camp is an opportunity for youth to make lifelong memories, build friendships, gain independence, and experience all that Alabama 4-H has to offer.

Please help us spread the word, invite your friends and family, and come out to support our youth!

Something exciting is hatching! Alabama Extension is launching new Facebook and Instagram pages dedicated to all things backyard poultry.
Whether you already have a flock or are planning to start one, follow along for research-based information to help you care for healthy, productive birds.

To celebrate the launch and National Chicken Month, we’re hosting a Backyard Poultry Photo Contest! Share a photo of your favorite hen, prized rooster or entire backyard flock for a chance to win.

How to enter:

-Follow the new Alabama Extension Backyard Poultry page.
-Like and share this post.
-Don't forget to also follow on Instagram.

Two winners will be selected:
-Judges’ Choice
-People’s Choice, awarded to the eligible photo receiving the most likes

BOOK DONATIONS NEEDED!

Elmore County 4-H needs your help! We are collecting gently used children’s and teen books for a special project we are working on.

If you have books your family has outgrown, we would LOVE to give them a new purpose and home!

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Donation Deadline: Friday, November 13th

We may not have brought home a win from the Golden Egg Contest, but we are still SO proud!

A big congratulations to our two Elmore County 4-H’ers, Wesson Taylor and Bernadette Blocker, for submitting their eggs and representing our county!

The Golden Egg Contest brings in entries from 4-H’ers all across the state, so just stepping up, participating, and putting your eggs to the test is something to be proud of!

Mrs. Courtney is VERY proud of y’all! Keep participating, keep learning, and keep making Elmore County 4-H proud!
