On Monday, the Commission adopted "Site Design for Multifamily Housing: Creating Livable, Connected Neighborhoods" to serve as design guidelines for multifamily planned unit developments.

Prior to this, there were no published guidelines for planned unit developments, which did not necessarily have to meet some of the design requirements of the subdivision regulations.

These guidelines will help designers of prospective developments gain a better understanding of what the Planning Commission expects before submitting drawings for review and approval.
