I cannot tell you how PROUD I am of Mrs. Tonya Greenwood's second grade class. She partnered with the Wewahitchka Library to give her class a goal of reading 100 books before the end of school. In two months, her class read (10 participants) read 312 books! They went over and above! In celebration, the entire class received a party sponsored by the Friends of the Wewahitchka Library where every child received a Free book and snacks. The ten children that participated in the reading challenge received a cup filled with goodies! Two of the boys in the class both read 50 books each, meeting their first goal of our new reading incentive 500 Books Before Middle School. This allowed them to receive some additional prizes! You kids are AMAZING! I am so proud of your hard work!

During the last quarter, we offered an incentive for children to check out five books. If they did, they were able to put a bee, caterpillar, or flower on our circulation desk. Also, they were entered into a drawing to win a cute little bee. We have 8 to give away. Some of the winners are already picking up their new friend to take home. More photos to come as children pick up their stuffed bee.

The PSJ Garden Club also provided beaded bracelets for the children once they complete their coloring sheet. Thank to you to Mrs. Tonya Greenwood for having her entire 2nd grade class participate.
