💙 Introducing Our SANE Program 💙

The Family Resource Center is proud to announce the launch of our Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program earlier this year —a vital service providing compassionate, trauma-informed care for survivors of sexual assault in our community.

Our specially trained forensic nurses offer:
✔️ Confidential medical care and support
✔️ Forensic evidence collection (with your consent)
✔️ Crisis intervention and advocacy
✔️ Referrals for counseling, legal support, and ongoing care

This program is designed to ensure that survivors are treated with dignity, respect, and control over their choices—every step of the way.

💬 You are not alone. Help is here.
📞 For more information or assistance, call 405-382-5979

Join us in supporting healing, hope, and justice in our community. Please share to help spread the word.

Today is a sad day of farewells for our Day Shelter team. We were recently alerted that today would be the last day for several of our team members who are employed through the AARP Senior Community Service Employment Program. This abrupt shift was caused by greater funding uncertainty on the federal level. These dedicated folks helped provide services to our shelter guests. From showers to clothing to meals, they made our Day Shelter accessible and welcoming.

Even though this isn’t a direct cut to our funding, we will still feel the absence of these team members. This is why it’s important that we stay adaptable and resourceful in the face of an uncertain future. The work calls for it! And the community has shown they support us.
