We were thrilled to welcome a great group from the Stop & Shop Quincy Corporate Office to our warehouse today!

This team rolled up their sleeves and made a real impact by: ✅ Labeling, bagging, and boxing 200 homemade Made with Love meals ✅ Sorting shelf-stable food donations to help keep our pantry shelves stocked

Every box packed, every label applied, and every donation sorted helps us get nutritious food into the hands of neighbors facing food insecurity.

Fighting Hunger, Reducing Waste

We're proud to share this NBC feature highlighting the ribbon cutting of the expanded Food Recovery Warehouse at South Shore Food Bank and Weymouth Food Pantry.

This expanded warehouse will help us rescue, sort, and distribute more fresh, nutritious food throughout the 28 communities served by South Shore Food Bank, while reducing food waste across our region.

We were grateful to celebrate alongside Kathryn Alexander, Vice President of External Affairs at The Greater Boston Food Bank; Christina Peretti, Sr. Director of Community Impact at The Greater Boston Food Bank; Senator Patrick O'Connor, State Representative Alyson Sullivan-Almeida; and Joan Meschino, State Representative.

Thanks to the support of The Greater Boston Food Bank, the Gershner Foundation, our food donors, pantry partners, volunteers, and community supporters, we're building a stronger, more food-secure South Shore.

A Splash of Color and Community!
Last week, we were delighted to welcome a group of freshmen from Archbishop Williams High School to our warehouse for a day of service and teamwork!

The students helped brighten our space by painting picnic tables that will be used for warehouse events, staff lunches, volunteer gatherings, and community celebrations. Their hard work transformed these tables into colorful, welcoming spaces that everyone will enjoy for years to come.

It's always inspiring to see young people giving back to their community, and these students brought plenty of energy and enthusiasm to the project.

The Feed the Wey Mobile Pantry Bus helps us bring food directly into the community, making fresh, nutritious food more accessible to neighbors facing food insecurity. Thanks to community partners like Weymouth Town Taxi & VIP Coach, we can continue expanding our reach and serving families where they are.

The Feed the Wey Mobile Pantry Bus will be on-site at the Amazing Raise FREE community BOO BINGO event on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Tufts Library. Stop by, take a tour, meet our team, and learn how the bus is helping fight hunger throughout Weymouth.

Or Register your team today to join the Amazing Raise! This kicks off and ends at the library, so you can still check out the bus! Gather 2-4 friends, family members, coworkers, or neighbors and join the fun. We're running on gratitude for our Golden Pumpkin Sponsor, the two Dunkin' locations on Bridge Street in Weymouth, for supporting the Amazing Raise on October 31!

The Amazing Raise is more than a scavenger hunt. It is the only fundraising event benefiting the Weymouth Food Pantry in 2026, making support from community partners like Dunkin' especially meaningful.

💚 Dream Team Spotlight: Marian & Robin 💚

Every week, one of our many amazing volunteer dream teams, Marian Sullivan Kotopoulos and Robin Feltoon, helps pack and stock the food pantry at the Grayken Center for Treatment at South Shore Health.

We're proud to partner with the incredible team at the Grayken Center, located at 797 Main Street in Weymouth, to provide fresh, nutritious food directly to individuals and families receiving care. Through this partnership, clients can access food with dignity and select the items that best meet their needs.

The Grayken Center offers compassionate, person-centered support for adults facing substance use disorder and behavioral health challenges through programs including: The Bridge Program, providing rapid access to care for individuals with substance use disorder: The Perinatal Behavioral Health Program, supporting women experiencing anxiety and depression during and after pregnancy: The SHORE Program, offering stigma-free support for mothers during pregnancy and up to two years postpartum

Together, we're helping remove barriers to healthy food and ensuring that nourishment is part of the healing journey. Because recovery and wellness begin with access to nutritious food, compassionate care, and a supportive community.

A huge thank you to Marian and Robin for showing up week after week to pack to keep their on-site pantry stocked and welcoming. Your dedication is making a real difference in the lives of so many.
