BURN BAN IN EFFECT

Let everyone you know, know that the Wharton County Burn Ban is now in effect. There should be no outdoor burning due to dry conditions and our KBDI being over 500.

Our KBDI has reached 505 so the Wharton County Burn Ban will go into effect on Thursday August 20th, 2026.
If you must burn before Thursday please use extreme caution.

Due to certain circumstances we are removing Claudia with code enforcement from the 7:00pm dunking booth slot and taking her spot is your Wharton City Manager Joseph Pace! Remember balls are a Dollar a piece and all proceeds go to our scholarship funds! So come out and have fun!

Last Night Wharton FD along with Glen Flora FD conducted Live Fire trainings.

Training involved Car Fire simulation, primary searches and rescue, and fire attack.

We want to thank our newly established Rehab team with providing drinks and shade, and making sure our guys were taken care of.

Our Rehab team consists of 2 members currently, they respond in a supporting role to our department. If you’re interested in joining in this role our members application are always open. Great job to everyone!
