The Wharton Police Department Proudly Supports the Police Unity Tour.

Today, Chief David Young began his journey as part of the Police Unity Tour, an incredible organization dedicated to honoring law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and ensuring that their sacrifice is never forgotten.

The Police Unity Tour is far more than a bicycle ride—it is a mission of remembrance, respect, and solidarity. Each mile ridden represents the unwavering commitment of the law enforcement community to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and to the families they left behind.

Lt. Arroyo, Officer Zullo, Detective Norton and Officer Mendez were proud to stand with Chief Young as he set out on this meaningful journey to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington.

Please join us in wishing Chief Young a safe ride as he represents the Borough of Wharton and pays tribute to our fallen heroes.

We ride for those who died.

A portion of Hance Street will be closed in order to complete the repair as quickly as possible. Detour signs will be in place in order to avoid the area.

Although unlikely, there is a possibility for temporary water disruptions in the area. Any water related issues should be resolved quickly.

The Wharton Police Department FOP Flag Football Team proudly competed in the annual Snow Bowl, a law enforcement charity tournament supporting the Special Olympics. Departments from across the State of New Jersey come together each year for a day of competition, camaraderie, and giving back to a great cause.

The Wharton team was led by Lieutenant Michael Arroyo and Detective Robert Norton Jr., and had an outstanding showing—finishing undefeated within our county.

While the competition on the field is always intense, the mission of the Snow Bowl remains the same: supporting the athletes of the Special Olympics and strengthening the brotherhood and sisterhood within the law enforcement community.
