Hello everyone

If you have not mailed your Vote By Mail ballot back the Secretary of State is advising you to hand deliver your ballot back to the Town Clerk’s office as they need to be received by 8pm Tuesday which is only 3 mail days.

Here in Whately you can bring it to the Town Clerk’s office Monday 8am-6pm, or drop it into one of our two after hours secure drop boxes-1 at our Town Offices, 4 Sandy Lane, and 1 at our Town Hall, 194 Chestnut Plain Road. If you cannot do that you always have the option to vote in person on Tuesday- I cannot accept vote by mail ballots at the polls but both boxes will be checked at the close of the polls at 8pm.

All requested ballots for Tuesday’s State Primary have been mailed out.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to the Town Clerk.

Hello Everyone!

The Town Clerk is back in the office! Just in time for Early In Person voting today from noon-5pm. Yay!

Also, at 3pm we will be holding a public session of the testing of our new tabulator at the Town Offices. You are free to come see it in person, I am also going to live stream it here on Facebook for your viewing pleasure.

Thank you for all the well wishes!!!! Happy to be back! Shout out to my amazing coworkers and poll workers who held the fort down. We have an amazing group!

The Giving Garden Committee is feeling incredibly grateful for the overwhelming generosity this community continues to show. This past weekend brought our largest produce donation yet — and to top it off, Copycat Print Shop (https://copycatprintshop.com/) gifted us a beautiful banner that left more than a few of us misty‑eyed.

Thank you to every farm and every resident who has shared their harvest with us. Our gratitude goes to Fairview Farms Inc., Lasalle Florists, Nourse Farms, Happy Valley Organics, Chamutka Farm, Long Plain Farm, Green Earth Farmstand, and Golonka Farm

Please support these amazing farms whenever you can. Whately is strongest when we lift each other up.

We apologize for the inconvenience-our Town Clerk Amy Lavallee will be out on medical leave for the rest of the week. She will be working remotely as much as possible. If you need immediate assistance please call her cell phone

That being said- this will NOT change any election hours. Polling hours for In Person Early Voting at the Town Offices will remain the same. Tuesday-Thursday 10am-12pm and Friday 12pm-5pm.

We’ve been sharing so much abundance at our recent plant swaps — thank you to the incredible farmers and residents who’ve donated beautiful produce and flowers. Your generosity makes this all possible.

We’ll be at the Transfer Station this Saturday, 8/22 from 9 AM–12 PM, and we’d love to see you. Donations are always welcome but never required — just come browse and take home what you need. Know someone who could use some extra food but can’t make it? Email [email protected] and we’ll make sure they receive some of the harvest.
