NEW PROGRAM ALERT: Wheat Ridge Business Grant Program

Localworks is launching a brand-new program on January 1, 2027! The Wheat Ridge Business Grant Program will provide funding to help local businesses grow, invest in their future, and strengthen our local economy.

With $45,000 in initial funding available, eligible Wheat Ridge businesses can apply for grants of up to $10,000.

Applications open January 1 and are due March 31, 2027.

Colorado residents can register to vote online, by submitting a voter registration form, or in person.

Oct. 26 is the deadline to register and still have a ballot mailed to you for the Nov. 3 election. Colorado also allows eligible voters to register and vote in person through Election Day.

District IV Council Members Dan Larson and Mike Okada will be hosting community office hours as an opportunity for residents to connect with their local council members, share thoughts, and ask questions about what’s happening in the community. District IV Community Office Hours will be held on:

Traffic alert: I-70 Bridge Repairs at Kipling and Garrison: Oct. 16-22

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) continues bridge repairs along I-70 at Kipling and Garrison streets. Motorists should prepare for overnight ramp closures, lane restrictions, and possible delays as crews complete final paving, waterproofing, striping, and other improvements.

📅 Work Schedule:
- Oct. 18-22: Overnight work from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Friday, Oct. 16, and tentatively Saturday, Oct. 17: Additional overnight work from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. due to weather delays.

🚧 Traffic Impacts:
- Nightly closures of the westbound I-70 on-ramp from Kipling Street and eastbound I-70 off-ramp to Kipling Street.
- Single- and double-lane closures on eastbound and westbound I-70.
- Alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound Kipling Street.
- Additional shoulder and ramp lane closures throughout the project area.

Detour routes will be available via Ward Road, W. 44th Avenue, W. 58th Avenue, and Wadsworth Boulevard, depending on the direction of travel.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
