I am looking for a community member who knows the downtown murals well enough to talk about them for a Wyoming Walk sponsored by Platte County Extension (I would host the walk). I did this a couple of years ago, and it was a hit. I think it would be really good if an expert on the subject led the walk. The USDA recommends 3–5 servings of vegetables per day, but most Americans fall short.
Here are some easy ways to hit your goal:
-Add corn, peas, or frozen veggie blends to soups, rice, or casseroles
-Roast or cut a big batch of veggies on Sunday to use all week
-Make vegetables the star (not just a side) at one meal a day
-Sneak bell peppers and onions into eggs, pasta, and skillet meals
Remember: canned and frozen vegetables count! They're just as nutritious and often more affordable than fresh.

June is National Mango Month! Mangoes are loaded with vitamin C, vitamin A, folate, and fiber, and they add a burst of tropical sweetness to all kinds of dishes.
Try mango:
-Diced in a fresh salsa with onion, jalapeño, and cilantro
-Sliced on tacos or grilled chicken

Adding frozen mango chunks is a budget-friendly way to enjoy this summer fruit year-round!

Fencing can have many benefits for controlling the movement of animals and controlling the impacts of grazing on the landscape. Electric fencing can be used as a temporary or permanent option for small acreages.

🐝 Wyoming is blooming, and bumble bees are busy. As gardens, pastures, yards, and wildflowers come into bloom, it is a good time to pay attention to the pollinators moving through them.

➡️ One native species to know is the western bumble bee.

A helpful clue? Look for the white tail.

Western bumble bees nest underground, often in old rodent dens or other small holes, and researchers are watching this species because populations have declined across parts of its historic range.
