Safe Well Water Day will be held on May 7, 2024. Sample bottles can be picked up at the office starting April 15th. Remember to take water sample on the morning of May 7th and returned to the District office no later than 11:30am.

Safe Well Water Testing will be held on May 12, 2021. Get your sample bottles at the Platte County Resource District, Glendo, Guernsey, or Chugwater Town Halls. Samples need to be taken the morning of the 12th and returned to the Platte County Resource District office before 11:30 am. Price for the testing this year is $29.00. The Platte County Resource District will be hosting the Household Hazardous Waste Collection on September 19, 2020. Collection will be from 8 a.m. - Noon here at the office. 504C Schroeder Drive. Please call 322-8154 if you have any question.

Platte County Resource District will be hosting Safe Well Water Monitoring again on May 12, 2020. Test Kits will be available by May 1st. Please Call the office if you have any questions. 307-322-8145

 Pick up your free test kits at the Platte County Resource District Office at
504C Schroeder Drive prior to May 12, 2020. Test kits will be available
beginning May 1st
 Following instructions enclosed with the test kit, fill sample bottles on
the morning of May 12th and return to the office between 7 am and noon
also on May 12th Late samples will not be accepted.
 Water samples taken from city/town water supplies will not be tested as
this water is currently tested by the city/town.
 The first 200 kits returned will be tested at no charge.

Annual Free Well Water Testing

Attention rural residents of Platte County. The Platte County Resource District is offering free private well water testing for up to 200 families on May 7th. To ensure your well water is safe for drinking all wells used for human consumption should be tested annually.

Water will be tested for total coliform, nitrate and nitrite nitrogen. To participate in this opportunity, residents must pick up a test kit before May 7th at one of the following locations:
Platte County Resource District Office
Town Halls of Guernsey, Glendo and Chugwater.

The completed test kits with water samples will need to be delivered on May 7th no later than 11:30 a.m. to THE PLATTE COUNTY RESOURCE DISTRICT OFFICE.

*Do not collect your sample prior to May 7th as this will hinder your results.
