Tonight's distribution at Wheatland Union High School has been cancelled. The regular monthly distribution will resume next month. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Here are some other food distributions happening this week in Yuba City, Wheatland, and Olivehurst:

Wednesday August 19, 9-10am at Richland Housing - 420 Miles Ave in Yuba City

Thursday August 20, 10am at 1st Street Senior Apartments - 810 1st St, Wheatland

Friday August 21, 9-10am at Olivehurst Linda Little League - 1208 Pasado Dr, Olivehurst

🗣️SCHOOL CANCELLED TODAY (Tues 8/18) — Wheatland Union High School District Families

Wheatland Union High School District will not hold classes today. Students should not come to campus.

Nothing has been found on campus. The sweep is taking longer than anticipated because of the size of the campus and the availability of explosives detection K-9 teams — additional teams are being brought in to complete the work. Rather than continue to delay the start of school, we are cancelling classes for today so law enforcement can finish thoroughly and without pressure.

Students currently at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints site will be released and transported home if parents are not able to pick up their student. Buses will run as soon as routes are setup.

I will update you tonight regarding tomorrow’s schedule.

Please join us in congratulating Candance DuShane on her new role as Operations & Administrative Services Technician in the Wheatland Union High School District Office!

Over the past several years, Candance has served our students, staff, and families in a variety of roles across campus- from paraeducator to health aide to Academic Technician. No matter the position, she has consistently brought a positive attitude, a kind heart, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to support those around her.

Candance's flexibility, dedication, and strong work ethic have made her an invaluable member of the Pirate family. In her new role, she will provide operational and administrative support at the district level, helping ensure our schools continue to run smoothly and efficiently.

Congratulations, Candance! We are excited to see all you will accomplish in this new position and know you'll continue making a positive impact across our district.
