It’s October 1st, which means it’s officially Women Build month!
Looking back at these photos, it’s pretty amazing to see how many women and allies have shown up for Women Build over the years. From swinging hammers to raising funds, building friendships, and supporting local families, Women Build has brought so many people together for a common purpose.
Here’s to all the women who have built with us, and to another Women Build season!

Legacies of giving back.
Enjoy a sneak peek of what our office looks like in honor of Dolly Parton Day!
Jimmy Carter dedicated decades to Habitat for Humanity, while Dolly Parton has spent her life supporting causes that help people and communities.
Their generosity and commitment to helping others continue to inspire us to find ways to give back and make a difference in the lives of those around us!

A bench built to bring people together, now sitting in a place where connection matters most.
This summer, the team joined us for a Home Starts Here build day, putting their time and creativity into building Buddy Benches that support Habitat’s work in our communities. Their team also created this special bench for Duly, which now sits outside the Brian Moran Cancer Institute in Lisle.
We love seeing a project that started at our ReStore find a new purpose in the community. What began as a few hours of teamwork is now a place for patients and their loved ones to pause, connect, and take a moment when they need it.
Thank you, Duly Health and Care, for building something that will continue making an impact long after the build day!

Another Ace Cares Week in the books! ❤️
Year after year, Ace Hardware teams show up for Habitat, bringing their time, energy, and expertise to both our build sites and ReStores. We’re so grateful for this longtime partnership and for the many Ace team members who continue to jump in wherever they’re needed.
Thank you, Ace Hardware, for continuing to care for our community and build with us!

Where Home Takes Root starts with the community around it.
We’re excited to welcome Trinity Pierce, Senior Stewardship Manager for the Chicago Region Trees Initiative at The Morton Arboretum, as one of our Women Build 2026 lunch speakers.
Through her work connecting communities with green spaces, Trinity knows the power of creating places where people and neighborhoods can grow. We’re looking forward to hearing from her this October!
