Request for participation in a survey on residents’ risk of exposure to mosquitoes.

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the Midwest Center of Excellence for Vector-Borne Disease are conducting a research study to understand what people in the Midwest know about mosquitoes and the diseases they spread.

📋 What’s involved?
Just one online survey that takes about 10-20 minutes. You’ll answer questions about mosquitoes and their control, and any information sources you have on the topic.

There are EPA approved repellents for everyone! Whether you are looking for something strong or a more natural approach - there are many options to fight the bite.

Happy July 4th from NWMAD!

Here are some tips to limit mosquito bites this weekend:

🦟 Use EPA approved repellents to protect yourself and your family from unwanted bites.

🦟 Wear long sleeves and pants while outdoors, especially at dusk

🦟 When sitting outside, use box or oscillating fans to create a breeze of 7 – 10 mph.
