This community has lost a brave soul after a long battle with cancer. Phyllis Plummer was well liked by all. Our prayers go out to Paul M Jr Plummer . She will defintely be missed.

Yes, the Weiner mobile...........

Oh YEAH! It's ON! The Kraken just received this email:

"Hello!

The Wienermobile would LOVE to come to see the Evil Wiener perform on Friday, March 12.

Please give me a call so we can work out the details.

With relish,
Rachel"

Thank you Jenny Marsh and everyone who submitted applications to help us score the big dog!

Stay tuned for deets...

Y'all be careful out there in the morning. The governor seems to think or know some ice is coming our way.

A little sleet this morning. Weird. It was 39 degrees.

And again today.. heavy hearts losing Candee (Andrews) Herndon. Gone way too soon, a friend to all. All of White Cross sends prayers to the family. Cancer is such a awful thing.

White Cross was sad today. Lost an important resident for many years. Sure hope they are having a square dance up there.
RIP Horace Ward

Sweet yellow cat wondered up on Gold Mine Loop Road. He was hungry, but is well fed now. If he is your cat, or you might know who he might belong too, please call me at 919-967-6224

Orange County Animal Services would like to emphasize that anyone who sees should not try to capture him. They can run up to 30 mph and have sharp claws and a very strong kick. Anyone who spots the elusive bird should call 919-942-7387 M-F from 8a-5p.

What appears to have been a Tornado touched down in the Davis Road area of Orange County. It appears to have tracked north, north east over Old NC 86, I-40 and then continued over UNC Hospital’s Hillsborough Campus and Durham Tech Campus to New NC 86 at Old NC 10 and behind Sheetz towards I-85 before dissipating. The home was completely destroyed but thankfully, no one was living there at the time. Blessed!

The danger of storms is not over, stay tuned to your weather alerts!
