Don't miss your chance to register your little ones for one of the multiple 8-week series lessons, led by Kenlyn Haggard, starting September 29th. Whether your child is brand new or already has experience dancing, these classes are a great way to get them moving in a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere.

Tippy Toes (Ages 1-3 yrs): 9:10am - 9:40am
Wee Tap (Ages 3-5 yrs): 9:50am - 10:20am
Intro To Dance (Ages 5-7 yrs): 10:30am - 11:20am
Intro To Dance (Ages 5-7 yrs): 4:00pm - 4:50pm
Beginner Tap & Ballet (Ages 8-12 yrs): 5:00pm - 5:50pm

🌿🐝 The NRPA BioBlitz has begun! 🐦🌸

Pollinators, such as bees and butterflies, need our help to grow and thrive! Help
us learn more about the species in our area by joining our Parks
for Pollinators BioBlitz event (all September long).

How to participate:
📲 Log into iNaturalist (or create a free account if you’re new!) & follow our project- Parks for Pollinators 2026: City of White House Parks and Recreation. Then, during the month of September, head outside to our parks, trails, and green spaces to snap and upload pictures of plants, insects, birds, and other wildlife you spot.

Every observation you share helps catalogue the rich variety of species that call White House, TN home — and supports pollinator health in our community. 🐝💛

📢 NEW Recreation Center Hours & Entrance Access!

Starting Sunday, September 6, we’re expanding access to the Recreation Center!

NEW Sunday Hours
Members can now enjoy the Recreation Center on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

NEW Lower Entrance Access
The lower entrance will now be open Monday through Saturday during regular operating hours for:
• Member check-ins
• Class registration
• Sports league access to the gymnasium

Need to make a payment, reservation, or purchase a membership? Please visit the main front desk upstairs for assistance.

We hope these updates make visiting the Recreation Center more convenient and accessible. We’ll see you Sunday!

Looking to help the pollinator species in our area? We have the perfect family friendly event for you, as we are hosting our 3rd Annual BioBlitz! Last year you helped us gather data on 160 species, helping inform science and conservation efforts in our area!

The Leisure Service Board will be meeting this coming Thursday (September 3rd) at 7:00pm in the board room at the Billy S. Hobbs Municipal Center, located at 105-D College Street.

Per TCA Title 8, Chapter 44 regarding public meetings, a Public Comment section is on the meeting’s agenda. To speak during the Public Comment period, a sign-up sheet will be placed in the meeting location near the printed agendas and will be taken up just before the start of the meeting.

Whether you're new to pickleball or looking to sharpen your skills, our 4 week Pickleball Lessons are the perfect way to learn in a fun, welcoming environment!

Classes begin the week of Tuesday, August 18.

Beginner Class
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.

Intermediate Class
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 11:00 a.m.

Session Details
August 18 through September 12
Cost: $75 per person

Lessons are led by experienced instructor Braden Funk and are designed to help players build confidence, improve technique, and enjoy one of the fastest growing sports in the country.
