Rainbow Volunteer Fire Company has been protecting the citizens of White Oak, PA since 1953.

Rainbow VFC is staffed by 100% volunteer members and supported by public donations. We are always looking for volunteers, if you are interested please send us a message. Hall rentals are available, for information please contact: [email protected] or call the station at 412-664-9523.

Update for our citizens of White Oak

The leadership and membership of the Rainbow Volunteer Fire Company made the decision that effective immediately we would be discontinuing the use of our siren at the intersection of Lincoln Way. Over the next few weeks we will be working to take the siren down and remove the utility pole that it sits upon.
This siren was in service for decades and used to serve as one of the primary means for notify our firefighters when there was a fire call. Technology has progressed significantly for more effective ways of notifying our firefighters so that is why the decision was made.
We know there might have been times in the past where the siren might have caused you to wake up in the night or if you were working at the drive-throughs at one of the food places at the intersection we’re sure you weren’t happy when it went off- but every time that siren went off was because someone was asking for help; possibly for something small and other times for a more serious issue. However every time that siren went off just know that your firefighters were answering that call for help no matter what time of day and we will continue to do that for our citizens of White Oak!!!
