Automated Alert from: Gladewater Automated Weather Alerts

03/31/2026

On Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the request of Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), a statewide test of emergency alerting systems will occur between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM. As part of this drill, local jurisdictions across Texas may test systems used to notify the public during emergencies. Depending on the jurisdiction you are in at the time of test, you may receive a test alert on your mobile phone and/or hear outdoor warning sirens. The City of White Oak will activate its outdoor warning system during this time. This will depend on weather. We will not test the outdoor warning system during inclement weather.

We have been closely monitoring the weather conditions this morning. Due to deteriorating road conditions we strongly discourage traveling unless absolutely necessary.

In the event of an emergency the road conditions will cause a hindrance for first responders.

Everyone stay warm and stay safe.

01/21/2026
01/20/2026

Freezing rain chances are increasing for the weekend across the ArkLaTex. The region could see significant impacts including road closures and power outages.

01/16/2026

‼️Due to low fuel moisture and low humidity, there will not be any burn permits issued from 1/16 - 1/19.‼️

If you are wanting to burn recreationally, we advise against it, but if you choose to please use extreme caution, have a water hose nearby, and do not leave the fire unattended.
