We are pleased to announce that today we accepted the delivery of a New-to-Us Fire Engine from Tar Heel Fire/Rescue Inc. We are so thankful to the members and Board of Directors of Tar Heel Fire and Rescue for their generous donation of the truck for the low cost of $1, and we look forward to putting the truck into service for many years to come. Pictured left to right are Chief Hunsinger of Tar Heel and Chief Tatum of White Oak accepting the new addition to our fleet.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our Deputy Chief David Price has gained ultimate healing following a long hard fought battle with illness. David proudly served our community and department for many years and words can not express how much we will miss him. Please pray for Melvia and Chris and all his wonderful family and surround them with love and support in the days ahead.

Please pray for the family and friends of our brother firefighter Carl Yonge. Carl gained ultimate healing from his sudden and brief battle with cancer. Carl had a true servants heart and helped out whenever and wherever needed and currently served on our Board of Directors. He will be deeply missed by both his White Oak Fire family and his Tar Heel Fire/Rescue Inc. family. Rest Easy Brother We got it from here …
